What to Expect

Parking

St. Paul's has a parking lot that is located behind the church off Mary Street. There are dedicated handicapped spaces, along with room for a dozen cars. There is also ample street parking on Mary and Thomas streets.

Accessible

Our sanctuary, worship platform and church hall are accessible for people with mobility issues. There is also a wheelchair-accessible washroom on the main level. A ramp into the church building is located off the parking lot on Mary Street and the sanctuary is accessible through the church hall.

We recently installed a new sound system with hearing-assist devices.

100% Kid Friendly

Churches can sometimes seem a little stuffy, but take a closer look. Children and youth are an important part of the St. Paul's Family. We have an active Church School with a supervised Nursery and classes for children ranging in age from 4 to 14. Lessons are based on scripture stories and how they relate to daily life, but also include crafts, games and fun.

Your child's safety is very important to us, so our teachers are carefully screened and trained. If you have any questions, ask one of the ushers at the front door and they will direct you to one of our church school staff.

Worship

Our service is a blend of the old and the new, with traditional hymns on the organ and more modern tunes on the keyboard. We stand to sing and remain seated for prayer. Music is an important part of our ministry at St. Paul's. As with most Presbyterian churches, the sermon plays a central role in our worship because preaching both grows and preserves the faith.

Overhead slides and videos are often incorporated into our service, enabling us to more clearly understand the word of God.

Community

We're looking forward to meeting you. After worship, stay for coffee, tea, treats and get to know us a little better. Make a point of introducing yourself to our Minister and be sure to sign our guest book. We also hold a number of community events throughout the year that usually involve food, so keep an eye out for those too! For more information about St. Paul's, email reverend@stpaulskemptville.ca.
